- If something on the site is hard to use, tell us at legal@rewardco.com and we will help.
This summary helps you find your way. The full text below is what applies.
1.Our commitment
RewardCo is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, whatever their ability or the technology they use.
We aim to meet our obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth), which makes it unlawful to discriminate against people with disability in providing goods, services and information, including online.
2.Definitions
In this statement:
- assistive technology means software or devices that help people use a computer or phone, such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control and switch devices;
- RewardCo, we, us and our mean Rewardco International Pty Ltd (ABN 84 169 704 938);
- the Platform means the RewardCo software that participants and administrators use, including Program Sites and the administration area;
- WCAG 2.2 means the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C); and
- the Website means rewardco.com and its regional versions (including /en-gb/ and /en-us/), but not the Platform.
3.The standard we aim to meet
The Website aims to meet WCAG 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG 2.2 is the current international standard for web accessibility, and Level AA is the level most often expected of Australian organisations.
We do not claim that every page fully meets the standard. We test against it and fix the problems we find.
4.What we have done
The Website is designed and built to:
- work with a keyboard. Every link, button, menu and form can be reached and used without a mouse, in a logical order. A "Skip to main content" link lets keyboard users go straight to the main content;
- show where you are. A clear, visible focus outline shows which item is selected when you move around with a keyboard;
- be readable. No text is smaller than 14 pixels (0.875 rem) at the default size, and text can be enlarged to 200% without content being lost;
- have good colour contrast. Text and controls meet the WCAG contrast ratios, and colour is never the only way information is shown;
- offer light and dark themes. The Website follows your device's light or dark setting, and you can choose a theme yourself;
- respect reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are turned off or kept to a minimum;
- describe images. Images that carry information have text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers;
- announce form errors. If a form field is missing or wrong, the error is shown in text next to the field and announced to screen readers; and
- caption videos. Any video we publish has captions or a transcript, and does not play sound automatically.
5.How we test
Automated checks. Every build of the Website is checked with axe, an automated accessibility testing tool. A build with serious accessibility errors is fixed before it is published.
Manual checks. Automated tools find only some problems, so we also test by hand, including:
- using the Website with a keyboard only;
- zooming to 200% and 400%, and viewing it on a narrow phone screen; and
- checking it in light and dark themes, and with high contrast settings.
We have not yet had the Website tested by people with disability or by an external accessibility auditor, and we have not yet completed testing with screen readers.
6.Known limitations
We know of the following limitations, and are working on them.
Third-party content. Some content comes from other providers, such as the cookie consent banner, embedded forms or social media links. We choose providers with accessibility in mind, but we do not control their content.
PDFs from clients and partners. Some documents, such as case study materials or brochures supplied by clients or partners, are PDFs that may not be fully accessible. If you need one in another format, ask us.
Older blog posts. Our blog includes posts migrated from our previous website. Some may have images without full text alternatives, or headings that are not in the right order. We are reviewing them.
Embedded maps and videos. Any embedded map or third-party video player may not be fully accessible. Where we use one, we give the same information in text, such as our street address or a transcript.
7.The RewardCo platform
This statement covers the Website only. The Platform, including the participant sites (Program Sites) and the administration site, is covered separately.
Clients, and organisations considering RewardCo, can ask us about the Platform's accessibility, including how it is tested and any known limitations, by emailing legal@rewardco.com. We have not yet published a separate accessibility statement or conformance report for the Platform.
If you are a participant and have trouble using your program's site, contact the support contact on your Program Site, or email us and we will pass your feedback on.
8.Feedback and contact
If you have trouble using any part of the Website, or need information in another format, please tell us:
- Email: legal@rewardco.com
- Post: Rewardco International Pty Ltd, 1/6 Hassall Street, Parramatta NSW 2150, Australia
Please tell us the web address (URL) of the page, what you were trying to do, the problem you found, and, if you are happy to, the browser and any assistive technology you use.
We aim to reply within 5 business days. If we cannot fix the problem straight away, we will tell you what we will do and when, and give you the information another way in the meantime.
9.If you are not satisfied
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can make a complaint to the Australian Human Rights Commission, which deals with complaints of disability discrimination under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth).
You can contact the Commission through its website, humanrights.gov.au.
